The Furry Dog Mothers offer a professional dog walking service in & around Worcester. Established in 2011, we are lucky to have a few adorable small groups of dogs that we walk daily in and around Worcester. We are dog snobs and so only want gorgeous dogs. However, if your furry friend has a few issues, we will also do our best to help socialize them, as we integrate your dog with our well behaved small packs. We recognise the individuality of each dog and so time is taken to get to know your dogs needs and ensure that the time spent with us is fun packed and chilled. You can trust that your dog is in safe hands as we treat each dog as if it were our own. We have, over the years, had amazing feedback and have been fortunate enough to expand due to our excellent reputation. We ensure all the dogs that are walked get on with each other and adhere to the 4 dogs rule here in Worcester, per dog walker.
We pride ourselves on offering a reliable and flexible service to meet both yours and your dogs needs, as best as we can. Mostly we will have a key to your house and take your dog out either once or twice a day depending on what you need. We not only care about your dog but also your home, consequently we have a strict key holding policy and all keys are stored and locked away when not in use. Read our reviews to help instill trust and faith in the service we have provided for over 10 years and continue to provide. We are fully insured with public liability insurance and DBS checks done.
The business has grown over the years through word of mouth primarily, thanks to our lovely and satisfied customers. You may see us on the racecourse in Worcester most days and over on the beautiful Malvern Hills too. To mix things up for us and the dogs we also walk the Lodge by the river and some gorgeous fields in Claines and St Johns. We also do canal walks, the countryside centre, and the large playing fields in Claines and Northwick.
Furry Dog Mother started in 2011 when I, Claire, its founder, moved to Worcester City Centre.
I'd just finished a Masters Degree in youth work and had been working with young people for 7 years
My career background is eclectic, I lectured in psychology, worked in corporate business development for Capita and as a Makeup Artist, with a host of other interesting ways of spending time. I wanted a change, a new town, and was looking for no stress as well as a way of spending time doing something I love.
Being a dog lover with a passion for the outdoors and walking, it was a no brainer. My then little labrador cross collie, Libi was 3 years old and needed to expel her energy. We took to walking the racecourse and I realised the volume of dog owners Worcester had, and thought, wouldn't it be great if I could walk them?-well the nice ones anyway!
I also have a small yoga business based and have been teaching yoga in Worcester since 2012. I love the balance that walking dogs and teaching yoga gives me, and feel extremely blessed to be able to do what I love.
I don't have children and so the furry friends are like my babies. Strangely I was afraid of dogs as a child as I was bitten by one, but we had a lovely golden labrador as a family dog and it was then that my love and adoration for dogs began. When I'm not walking dogs I'm either cycling, walking, practising and teaching yoga, cooking and catching up with friends and family.
I'm 18 and have recently started studying Psychology at Worcester Uni, although what I'd like to specialise in remains unknown! The human mind
has always fascinated me. TV shows like Criminal Minds are my go-to binge, as behaviour analysis is something I find particularly interesting.
In my spare time I like to read and listen to music as well as fussing our family cats, Widget and Mitzie. I've grown up around dogs too - my family have had Greyhounds, Lurchers, Staffies, and English Sheepdogs to name just a few, and I also love walking our neighbours' dogs Billy & Misty when needed!
I love the outdoors, so I'm excited to join the team with my sister Lizzie, and meet new pups to walk around Worcester!
I'm 23 and am a professional commissioned artist, specialising in pet & family portraiture, although I like to try my hand at pretty much anything.
I set up my small business QURV in October 2018 after completing my Foundation Diploma at
Hereford Art College, and now sell my work all over the country!
I have two cats at home, Widget & Mitzie, but have been constantly surrounded by dogs in our family; my love of capturing pets on paper grew from here. My boyfriend has a German Shephard pup called Freya, so my weekends revolve solely around spending time with her! I couldn't imagine a life without these special companions.
Being a part of Furry Dog Mothers with my sister Alice is my dream job, along with running my own business! It seems like the perfect fit for a pet portrait artist to spend her days building special bonds with new dogs!
If you'd like to see my work, check out my Instgram or my website to find out how to commission a piece for your pets!
If you are looking for a dog walker in Worcester then get in touch. We offer a free consultation where we
meet with you and your dog to discuss your requirements and answer any questions you may have. We give you a
form to take away and complete with all the important information needed should you wish Furry Dog Mothers to
look after and/or walk your dog.
We can work on an ad hoc basis but, as we do get busy, we can only guarantee our dog walking service by booking in advance. Should you need to cancel then we do need a week's notice. Once you have booked in with the Furry Dog Mothers your dog will be picked up on the days required and transported, safely in an air conditioned vehicle complete with car safety harnesses, if we feel your dog needs one, and a dog guard for your dog's safety.
We like to vary the walks between the Racecourse, Malvern, The lodge, The Countryside Centre, Claines and Perdiswell. Most days you will see us on the racecourse. The dogs have the most amazing time and love to chase each other and play, always having lots of fun! In the summer we take advantage of areas with trees and water, so the racecourse is ideal. Please do let us know if your dog has any concerns around water, bikes, runners etc. All dogs are individual and we want to accommodate them as best we can.
On return from their walk, your dog will be left at home with any reasonable instructions taken into consideration. We ensure your dog's water bowl is refilled if necessary and treats or meals given. Please remember to leave towels out and instructions for doors to be shut on wet days.
With your permission we will post photos of your dog on their walks on our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram). Connect with us on social media and stay connected to your dog, seeing how well they get on with each other under the care of the Furry Dog Mothers!
We will come and collect your dog and socialise them with other dogs, generally on Worcester Racecourse.
We have been walking gorgeous dogs in Worcester since 2011 and do it because we love it! You will find us
reliable, trustworthy and passionate about meeting your dog's needs.
There will be plenty of exercise, play, and perhaps some swimming in the summer! If you have any special
requirements please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your dog's needs as
we appreciate that each dog is different and needs to be understood and treated accordingly to ensure a
safe & fun time is had by all.
All our dogs are gorgeous and super friendly and we like to keep it that way.

They say we shouldn't leave our dogs for more than 6 hours on their own and we Furry Dog Mothers agree.
When you have to go out for the day and can't take your dog with you, we will either look after them for the day
or visit them, taking them out for walks and feeding them as required.
We like to get to know your dogs before their first stay, so please book with us for a time to meet for a walk and get to know your dog.
Rest assured, your beloved dog is looked after in the comfort of their own home, and you can check out the fun they're having on our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram)!
We are not at all like kennels and so keep this part of our service small - booking in advance is advisable, but we will always do our best to accommodate at short notice if we can.
Holidaying in the UK or overseas is just great, but we can't always take our dogs with us and so it can be a tough decision who to leave
your dog with. We take the stress out of those decisions and ensure your dog's life isn't too disrupted. With notice, one of
our team will stay at your home and ensure your dog doesn't miss you too much!
Your dog will feel the love from the Furry Dog Mothers, having at least two 1 hour walks each day - if they're up to it, of course.
We will vary the walks so as to keep things new and exciting for all. We will be out on the racecourse, Malvern, Perdiswell, Claines & the Lodge,
and of course your local play area or field.
You can leave your dog's bed, food, & favourite toys where they are, and we'll provide our own linen, food & favourite toys too.
This is a limited service so ideally should be booked in advance.
There's no better way to train a puppy than to socialise them with well behaved dogs. Good behaviour is
learnt by example and so Furry Dog Mothers' dogs will be the perfect role models for the new addition to your
home. After a few weeks of puppy walks with the bigger guys, you may find your puppy has better recall and is
more socially aware of and able to play with other dogs. We will visit your puppy for play and take them for a
shorter walk twice a day.
Usually these two half hour sessions are enough interaction whilst you're at work and of course we can do that lunchtime feed.
Minimum 1 week's notice for any cancellations
